November Songs came together in November 2013 when we all got together to record some original tunes written by me (Boris). Yoni kaston (accordion, back vocals), Elizabeth Claire Fortune Millar (mandolin, back vocals) and Isaac Beaudet-Lefebvre (fiddle) and myself (stand-up bass, lead vocals) put down 12 tracks in 2 nights. I’m very lucky to get to play with these wonderful musicians who all have multiple projects of their own. I wanted to do a record without drums or guitars (I have nothing against either, in fact love them) that I hoped would be thought provoking and danceable. Later on we were joined by Joel Kerr and Craig Pedersen in a great night of singing.
